Aleateia participated in the 14th
session of the Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre (CIFET)
with a revamped version of A Heap of Broken Images. In the new version
of the production, 6 people have been invited to a cocktail party where
there is to be a reading of T. S. Eliot’s The Waste Land. But beneath
this seemingly innocent reason for throwing a party, there lurks deeper,
darker and more decadent thoughts in their host’s mind… The
play presents the bitter struggle between decadence and redemption in
uncompromising terms.
